Use DenkOps in Claude Code

Claude Code can deploy straight from your repository. Add DenkOps as a remote MCP server and sign in once; every session in that scope can then deploy, read logs and manage your projects.

Add DenkOps to Claude Code

Free to try
https://denkops.com/mcp

1 project free, no credit card. Sign in with Google or GitHub.

Steps

  1. Run: claude mcp add --transport http denkops https://denkops.com/mcp (add --scope user to use it in every project).
  2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp, select denkops and choose Authenticate.
  3. Sign in with Google or GitHub in the browser window, pick a workspace and allow access.
  4. Ask: "deploy this on DenkOps".

Remote connector or plugin?

Both work. The remote connector above needs no install and is the same one Claude, ChatGPT and others use. The DenkOps plugin (/plugin marketplace add DenkOpsAI/denkops-mcp) runs locally and deploys a folder from disk; pick it if you prefer a local process. You only need one of the two.

Troubleshooting

  • Port already in use during sign-in — Claude Code picks a random local port; retry /mcp → Authenticate.
  • Deploying from the repo — Claude Code reads your files; with the remote connector it sends them in the deploy call, so keep secrets out of the files and set them as environment variables.

FAQ

Do I need Node or npm for the remote connector?

No. The remote connector is a URL; Claude Code connects to it over HTTPS.

Where are my secrets stored?

As encrypted, write-only environment variables on DenkOps. .env files are refused in deploy uploads.
