Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data DenkOps collects, why, and what rights you have. DenkOps is a service operated by DenkOps B.V. ("DenkOps", "we", "us"), based in the Netherlands. For any privacy question, email privacy@denkops.com.

Who is responsible for your data

DenkOps B.V. is the data controller for the personal data described here. For the content you deploy and the data your own apps process, you are the controller and we act as your processor. See “Content you deploy” below.

What we collect

• Account data, your name, email address and login identifier, obtained when you sign in with GitHub, Google or Microsoft.
• Billing data, the subscription and payment details needed to charge you. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data, logs, metrics, deploy history and technical events generated while you use the platform, used to operate, secure and improve the service.
• Content you deploy, the code, configuration, environment variables and data your projects contain. We store and run this to provide the service; we don't inspect it except as needed to operate the platform, keep it secure, or comply with the law.

Why we use it (legal bases)

• To provide the service, performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To secure and improve the platform, and prevent abuse, our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To meet legal and tax obligations, compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Where your data is stored

Your account data and the content you deploy are stored on managed infrastructure in the European Union. Where a sub-processor is located outside the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run DenkOps, under contract and only as needed, including:

• our EU hosting provider (compute and storage);
• our payment processor (billing and payments);
• the identity providers you choose to sign in with (GitHub, Google, Microsoft).

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of DenkOps, our users or the public.

Cookies

We use only the strictly necessary cookies required to sign you in and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. After you close your account we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example invoices) to meet legal obligations. Logs and metrics are retained only for a limited operational window.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these, email privacy@denkops.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use DenkOps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
